2024-2025: Presidential Theme: “Empowering Our Workforce: Building a Sustainable Future.”
We all want to be involved in a career that we can be passionate about and where we can find meaning and purpose. We need to demonstrate to the world what we do and the impact that our industry is making today and is capable of producing in the future to address climate change. Together, we can grow the ranks of committed and passionate professionals and shape the future of our industry and our planet

2023-24: Presidential Theme: Challenge Accepted: Tackling the Climate Crisis
We are living in a climate emergency. Our desire to be more comfortable has brought us to a place where we need to make uncomfortable decisions. We can accept the challenge of our day regarding the impact of our buildings on the climate crises by equipping our members with the knowledge they need to design and renovate buildings to address the greenhouse gas emissions of our industry.

2022-23: Presidential Theme: Securing our Future
THE TIME TO SECURE OUR FUTURE IS NOW.
Let’s consider how YOU can make an impact.
When you participate in board and council meetings, you will make a difference.
When you connect with our technical committees and learn about their work and participate in developing locally focused technical resources, you will not only be developing yourself, but contributing to securing our future. By participating at your chapter region and society levels in many of the programs and trainings being made available will help hone your skills and develop you professionally to face the challenges of the future.
Attending the global summit and industry ‘round tables’ will place you at the table where the coming changes and the latest industry trends are being discussed and actions planned.
Ginger Scoggins reminded us that people don’t always know how to participate. Getting involved can be a complex process. We will improve this. We will create a simple process, to guide you from INTEREST to INVOLVEMENT links on the president’s page will let you select your area of interest and society will connect you and guide you on how to participate and contribute.
Our members are the lifeblood of ASHRAE, you have made this great society what it is today, a beacon to humanity, by your selfless devotion and giving for over a century. Now as we stand on the threshold of a new era with its challenges, I ask you to step forward for not only securing our future but the future of humanity.

2021-22: Presidential Theme: Personal Growth. Global Impact. Feed the Roots.
The theme explores ASHRAE’s expansive root system from the Society’s founding, through its extraordinary global growth and impact to the built environment. Three sets of roots were established to help members grow – member-to-member connections, grassroots chapters and regions, and technology.
This Society Year, we will examine how ASHRAE cultivates its deep, widespread, and strong roots to collectively provide global benefits today as well as for future generations. Most importantly, we ask for your active participation in helping someone else grow.

2020-21 : Presidential Theme: The ASHRAE Digital Lighthouse and Industry 4.0
Digital transformation is not simply associated with adopting new technical solutions. Knowledge needs to be captured and linked in such a way that ALL relevant stakeholders’ benefit. Doing so requires understanding of how to collect, store, and analyze data; so that it is insightful and actionable. The ASHRAE Digital Lighthouse and Industry 4.0 focuses on reimagining the building industry by not only integrating industry segments, but technology. This presentation will examine how ASHRAE will lead the industry in becoming a part of the digital transformation that will guide the building industry into the next decade and beyond.
